About Ryan A decade of marriage to Katie, and the joy of two energetic boys, Scotland (9) and Palmer (5), Golf Enthusiast: It won't take long to realize that golf is more than a pastime; it's my true passion. I am dedicated to the game, from sunrise to sunset. Local Roots: Growing up in Rochester and graduating from Rochester Adams High School. Early Obsession: My golf journey evolved as I became enamored with golf equipment, leading me to start working in golf retail at the age of 15. The journey took me through experiences at 2nd Swing Golf and Walton Golf Center. Academic Achievements: The journey through golf continued with a quest for PGA Membership, taking me to Coastal Carolina University's PGA/PGM program. The result: a bachelor's degree in both Business Administration and Marketing, along with a Class A membership in the PGA of America. Internship Odyssey: Along the way, we had the privilege of completing internships at remarkable golf clubs, such as Dellwood Golf & Country Club in New City, New York, Pine Lake Country Club in Orchard Lake, The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach and Twin Lakes in Oakland Township. These experiences provided invaluable insights and opportunities for growth. Professional Path: Post-graduation, I took on the role of Head Golf Professional at Gull Lake Country Club in Richland, Michigan, for a rewarding six years. Journey Back East: The desire to be back on the east side of the state led us back to Metro Detroit. This led to the role of General Manager and Head PGA Professional at Stonycroft Hills, where countless great memories were created. The Dream Becomes Reality The story takes an exciting turn as I assume the role of Director of Golf at Indianwood. It's a dream come true. This new opportunity is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I am eager to forge new relationships and create new memories with everyone at Indianwood.
